ADIPS is inviting its visitors to explore its new website.

New Fencing Guidance

The ADSC has produced guidance on the fencing and guarding requirements for juvenile rides on fairgrounds.
The guidance contains practical advice to operators on the adoption of a common sense approach to the selection of control measures for the guarding of juvenile fairground rides.

ADIPS FREE Safety and Health Awareness Day Roadshow at Hull Fair

The fifth ADIPS Safety and Health Awareness Day is to take place to coincide with the Hull Fair on 5 October 2016. This free event is being held in the New Walton Club and is dedicated to raising awareness and providing advice and information on health, safety and risk.
The day is being organised by ADIPS on behalf of the Amusement Device Safety Council (ADSC) who oversee the ADIPS ride inspection scheme and industry safety matters.

Become a Registered Inspection Body

ADIPS is looking to recruit new inspection bodies to work in the fairground and amusement park industry.
Companies and individuals who have relevant qualifications and engineering experience, and wish to carry out inspection of amusement devices, should consider ADIPS registration.
Help is at hand for interested organisations. ADIPS provides support to new inspection bodies during application and initial registration to ensure effective monitoring and control of inspection work and development of management systems.

ADIPS Offers Reinspection Funding for Third Consecutive Year

The Amusement Device Safety Council (ADSC) has approved a Scheme which allows Ride owners/controllers who arrange a second inspection in 2016 to qualify for a grant towards inspection costs.
The programme will allow Inspection Bodies to apply a subsidy of either £125 or £75 depending on the ride type and claim this back from ADIPS.
This is in addition to the ADIPS Registration Fee/DOC Levy which ADIPS will waiver as it has done since 2011.

Amusement Device Safety Council (ADSC) Meeting Report

The Amusement Device Safety Council (ADSC) which manages and oversees ADIPS and promotes safe practice on fairgrounds held its most recent meeting at Drayton Manor Theme Park on 01 December 2016. The meeting discussed a number of items and agreed to implement a number of changes to the operation of ADIPS.
Members discussed the priorities for 2017 which included training and guidance for operators through the Safety and Health Awareness Days (SHAD) programme and producing guidance on operation and inspection, such as the testing of control systems.
